The social media revolution is changing the way companies should think about global talent. The new web and a demographic revolution of digital natives entering the workforce are creating a social revolution that affects just about everything for those who care about global talent.
Don Tapscott discusses the impact of these forces on Attraction, Learning and Development, Communications and Management, Compensation and Rewards, Performance Management and Retention. He argues that a new model of Talent management is required and, thanks to the social revolution, possible. He also argues that Talent Management and work itself, constitute one of 16 institutions of the Industrial Age that need rethinking, explaining the big idea in his new book (co-authored with Anthony Williams) Macrowikinomics: Rebooting Business and the World.
