67% don’t get enough positive feedback
According to a study by Leadership IQ, 67% of employees say they get too little positive feedback.
We are nearing the end of the year and the beginning of performance review season and while it’s easy to get swept away in the holiday cheer, it is important to remember to recognize your colleagues’ great work. Recognizing good work and showing your appreciation can not only be a great feeling for the person receiving it, but helps make everyone more productive – and it will make you feel really good!
The study found that: “employees want a lot more attention and feedback from you.” It’s no wonder that 17% are leaving their jobs due to insufficient recognition.
A lot of people believe that the best incentive is money, and while it’s nice to get a big bonus, it can feel so much better to get meaningful feedback about your work. There’s no better time than holiday time to give positive recognition to the people around you!
