Get the most out of work with social performance management...

Daniel Debow on Webnation

Our very own Daniel Debow was interviewed on CP24′s Webnation last night hosted by Maurice Cacho!  Remember last week Daniel was on Net@Night?  Where will he pop up next?  Stay tuned to find out!

During the 6 minute interview Daniel explained the vision and direction behind Rypple.

We want to help change cultures at work to be about feedback. It doesn’t make any sense today when we live in a real time world where people are connected to their friends and learning from feedback all the time, that we wait once a year, to get a performance review that’s all batched up.

The interesting thing about Rypple is it’s usually not brought in by the HR department – 80-90% of our customers are usually just managers who say “I want something better for my team, I want them to be able to get feedback so they can learn and develop and get better all the time, cause that’s what drives performance, not a piece of paper every 6 months.

Maurice mentioned that he thought it looked and felt like Facebook, “except it’s all work and performance related.” He got it exactly right, if you can use a social tool like Facebook or Twitter, Rypple will be second nature to you.

Maurice brought up a very common but important concern people have about social software: How do you ensure privacy with Rypple? Daniel responded:

We have two types of privacy. One is for your company. We have industrial grade, bulletproof security.  What stays inside Rypple, stays inside your company.

The second level is for me as a individual, there is some stuff I want to share, and there’s some stuff I want to keep private between you and your manager.  You can control what’s private and what’s public.

Check back soon to watch the full interview.  Thanks Webnation for including us!
