Watch Rypple’s Daniel Debow on This Week in Tech
Rypple co-CEO Daniel Debow joined hosts Sarah Lane and Amber MacArthur on TWiT.tv’s net@night show to talk about what we do and how we got started.
In her intro, Amber called Rypple a “really neat tool.”
Co-host Sarah described Rypple as: “a social network based around performance within a company that isn’t just a boss employee relationship – it’s employee to employee and people saying congrats, that was really cool what you did today.”
An online TV show devoted to tech news, This Week in Tech (TWiT.tv for short) features interesting and innovative new technology.

Some Highlight’s of Daniel’s interview:
- Rypple takes traditional management behaviours, like leading your team, and puts it into a more modern context of a social network.
- It’s not hierarchal. Instead of the top-down approach associated with most traditional tools for performance management, such as 360 degree reviews, Rypple also works from the bottom up. Managers can start using Rypple with their teams; they don’t need to wait for an enterprise-wide rollout.
- Recognition has more to do with who really does great work. Recognition is sometimes given to the “loud” people in the office. Rypple’s social performance platform gives individuals the tools to do their job— and lets their co-workers or managers around them recognize them – meaning quiet high performers will get the attention and praise they deserve.
