How Teams Can Drive Success With Social Goals 2.0
Yesterday, our Senior Manager of Customer Success Meghan Gendelman and our VP of Product Management Maksim Ovsyannikov led a live demo and Q&A for our new Social Goals 2.0 tool, an easy, social way to deliver the results that matter.
You can check out a video from the demo and see the slides below.
Meghan and Maksim spoke to existing Rypple customers to answer the following questions:
- What is Social Goals 2.0?
- How do I use Social Goals 2.0?
- What happened to my old goals?
Based on the proven OKR (Objectives and Key Results) model, Social Goals 2.0 is a tool employees can use every day to make sure they’re working on the right things and focused on driving the results that matter. People can set audacious goals and share progress and results with their team in real-time.
Social Goals 2.0 is easy to use, collaborative and instantaneous. There are five easy steps:
- Create social goals
- Invite others to collaborate
- Ask everyone to commit to actions for each key result and share updates in real-time
- Meet one-on-one regularly
- Share results on your Rypple profile to build your reputation
Some key takeaways from the Q&A include:
- Social Goals 2.0 is a tool to set both personal objectives and organizational objectives. So a CEO or general manager can go in and set a high-level, strategic goal for the team, and employees can all see how their goals tie to the larger goals of the organization.
- Social Goals 2.0 is the “social” aspect of human capital management: everybody can see what their coworkers are doing, and anyone can jump in on their coworkers’ goals. Showing goals in the feed encourages mass collaboration between individuals who wouldn’t otherwise collaborate.
- Any company that understands the social aspect of managing people is a good fit for Social Goals 2.0. Companies that openly say “this is what we need to get accomplished” then let people figure out how to get work done will find Social Goals 2.0 to be a good approach for their business.
